POLYGRAPH EXAMINATIONS

A polygraph examination, also known as a lie detector test, is a very useful tool when the parties involved need proof that the truth has been disclosed.

Polygraph Myths

A polygraph or lie detector test is not admissible in court
Contrary to the popular belief, in many states, including Ohio and Kentucky the results of a polygraph examination are admissible in court when both parties agree. Additionally, anything said during a polygraph examination is admissible in court.

A polygraph is not always accurate
While a polygraph is highly accurate, errors can occur. Most errors occur with inexperienced examiners.  Recent research reveals that the accuracy of the new computerized polygraph system is close to 100%.
